We do not lose heart, Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 4, though the outer self wastes away. Is it foolish to keep fixing the porch when the whole house sinks?

A world without God is not a colder copy of this one. It is nothing at all, and we still run that failed experiment with our lives more than we admit.
