Galatians 2:20 (ESV)
I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Command: None explicit — Paul's own testimony.
Example: Paul himself, describing his identity as already crucified and replaced.
Necessary Inference: If Paul can say "it is no longer I who live" while still visibly living and writing, this isn't erasure of the self but a relocation of its source.
Heart Question: When I describe who I am, am I describing the old self or the one Christ is living through?
Where This Leads: The verse is itself the resolution — "the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me" is both the cause and the content of the replaced life.
